We'd love to say 'Happy Anniversary!'

We noticed in Lotterywest's Link magazine that they include 'Retailer Anniversaries' - Dennis Lawrence, June Price and Frances Robinson have been at Busselton News for 40 years, Lance and Dale McCrae have been at the Midland gate Lottery Kiosk for 24 years, as have Len and Jeanette Hendricks at Ballajura City Lottery Centre.

We'd like to do the same but it means YOU have to tell us of your anniversary.


ANF to launch First Five training units in November

Coming up in November, the First Five units of training for newsagents and staff are designed to provide ideas and support for the coming busy months of December and January. The initial units will be offered online to enable you to access the presentations without having to spend valuable time out of their newsagencies in the lead up to Christmas and Back to School.

The ANF Western Union Network contributes over $2.7 million to the newsagency network, through services such as the Western Union Call Centre, and numerous ANF member benefits. This figure will only grow with the growth of our national network.

The commission earned by our Western Union agents equates to 15% of what it costs to remit the money.

Fairfax Media has announced a cover price rise for The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, effective Monday 29 September.

ANF Policy Update

Clarifying the award status of migrated delivery only sites

The ANF is working on clarifying the award status of migrated delivery only newsagents. This issue is now developing as we have finalised descriptions of what is occurring in the different states and our IR partner is now discussing this issue with Fair Work.

ANF-WA Awards For Excellence Winners Announced

The ANF WA Awards for Excellence, held last Saturday night at the Pan Pacific Hotel Perth, saw the crowning of WA's best newsagents and employees! The night also presented the ANF with the opportunity to recognise Lotterywest CEO Jan Stewart's commitment and dedication to the WA newsagency channel and thank her for all her efforts spanning the last 27 years.
